Custom Jewelry Process
If you can dream it, we can make it
For customers who want one-of-a kind rings, necklaces or earrings that truly express their individual style, DePaula Jewelers custom designed jewelry is for you.
With over 40 years experience crafting custom made items, we guarantee your complete satisfaction. In order to bring your vision to life, we have created the an easy 6 step guide to get you started!
Step 2 - Wax Mold and Design Approval
Once we confirm your sketch and vision, we handcraft a model to your exact specifications. We work tirelessly to ensure we exceed your expectations. This is the stage where any alterations, adjustments or revisions to the design and mold are conducted. Once agreed that the mold meets your desires, we create a final mold and move on to step 3.
Step 3: Casting
Castings come out with a smooth but matte surface finish, and require significant hand work to bring out the perfect finish. Among all the different types of modeling machines on the market today, we only use the best milling, wax-jet, and laser formation processes. We choose the best process to produce the desired effect. This is intricate work, and requires much skill and a fine eye for detail, as well as dedication to quality and craftsmanship.
Step 4: Polishing
Polishing is a three-step process using several polishing elements to smooth the surface and make the metal shine. Once the metal is polished, the stone is set and finished by touching up any areas.
Step 5: Stone Setting (when applicable)
Step 6: A one-of-a-kind creation you will not find anywhere else.
We are always here to answer any questions and assist in anyway we can. We are always available via phone, email, social and of course, in our showroom at 23 Main St, Essex, CT. Your possibilities are endless at De Paula Jewelers.
